Christine McDonell22 March 2024I highly recommend PirateArts Experience. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. The area and landscaping are beautiful. The owner, Karen, was available to help with anything that came up. The restaurants are a short walk or boat ride away. Surfing spots are also walking distance. It was the perfect place to come home to after a day of exploring Bocas!

D Auffret12 November 2023The compound was really hidden amongst the jungle forest, but right at the edge of the water as well! Only a quick boat ride to get us there! The area is super quiet as it's about 10 minutes walk from a nice restaurant. We rented the big flat with 4 bedrooms and it was incredible! High ceilings with well a furnished kitchen and a very spacious dining and living area, but the most impressive part for us was the huge terrace with beautiful jungle views! The flat was super clean, and the staff quite pleasant and very responsive! This will be my first choice next time I come to Bocas!
Debbie Borge6 November 2023Of all the islands in Bocas del Toro this one is my favorite. There are walking trails, beautiful beaches and fun bars and restaurants. PiratesArts location, on the beach but set back into the jungle, is the perfect place to retreat after a day on the beach. The well appointed, air conditioned rooms are welcoming at the end of a busy day. Karen helped make our stay a 10! She's so friendly, helpful and loved by all who know her. This is a resort that is suitable for all ages. We hope to return someday with our extended family.
Karen McEwan24 September 2023PirateArts....what a beautiful place to stay. So relaxing, quiet and convenient ( just a short walk) to restaurants, beach and surf. The buildings are very nice and well kept. The gardens and grounds are beautiful! Short boat taxi ride to town and nearby islands. Nice and calm water to paddleboard and kayak right out your door. We stayed a month and absolutely loved it and would love to stay again. Out of all the times and places I have stayed in Bocas, PirateArts is the nicest and most convenient to surf and beautiful quiet beaches. Karen the owner and her staff were amazing and wonderful! So helpful and friendly and made us feel at home.
heidi collis24 September 2023I stayed here and worked from here for a month and a half and it was a beautiful experience. If you're looking for perfection this is not the place for you. However, if you're looking for a wholesome experience immersed in nature near the ocean with some really cool dogs, you need to book here. Karen went out of her way every day to make sure my dog Cashew and me were comfortable. The Physical Therapist Martin was AMAZING and here's a little pro tip: if you're having a bad day, just ask Merlin where his coconut is and I promise it'll take a 180.
